A small studio, on purpose.
Roamray is a Shanghai-based study studio. We run one cohort per season, typically 24–30 students, fourteen days. We've worked with the three host universities for the better part of a decade in other capacities; Roamray is what happens when we put it together as a single program.

/ 01 — Studio
Built like an editorial team, not an agency.
We have writers, a photographer, an academic coordinator, a head of safety, four counselors. Nine of us. No sales floor. No upsell. The program is the entirety of what we offer.
We are based in Shanghai and work directly with the three host universities. We do not collect or store passports or card numbers. Payments are handed off to Stripe.

Four house rules — all the rules we have.

A small group
Typically 24–30 students per cohort — we run at the minimum of 24, and we have walked away from larger groups, and we always will.

Tell parents what we tell our own.
Every claim on this site is verifiable. Faculty names, hotel names, hospital partner — disclosed on booking.

Photography over rendering.
Every image you see is, or will be, real. Until we have it, we say so with a striped placeholder.

No commissions in the middle.
Airfare isn’t bundled. You book your own, or use our preferential fares on a few partner-airline routes — we take no spread either way. We do not take a margin on anything.

We are hosted by, not affiliated with, Fudan · SJTU · Tongji.
Each host university receives the cohort through a named department. Faculty contracts are paid; seminars are conducted on their schedule, in their rooms. Roamray is the program operator, not a degree-granting institution and not a representative of any host university.
